Delaporte Sancerre

Domaine Delaporte has been farmed by the Delaporte family in the village of Chavignol since the seventeenth century; third-generation vintner Matthieu Delaporte, who took over in 2010, converted the estate's roughly 33 hectares to biodynamic practice. The domaine grows Sauvignon Blanc (about 75%) and Pinot Noir (about 25%), and its white Sancerre from Chavignol is drawn from vines with an average age of 35 years on predominantly south-facing slopes.
