Profile & Story
Janare is the flagship label of La Guardiense, a large cooperative founded in 1960 in Guardia Sanframondi, in the Sannio hills of Campania, farming over 1,500 hectares across some 1,000 grower-members. Its Anima Lavica line, which includes this Falanghina del Sannio, is grown on outcrops of volcanic rock left by an eruption more than thirty thousand years ago.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow with green reflections, the wine shows aromas of broom and linden with citrus nuances, and a citrus-driven, savory, very persistent finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs well across a full seafood or vegetable-based meal, and is especially good with Campania buffalo mozzarella and other soft cheeses.
