Cantina Kurtatsch is a long-established cooperative in Alto Adige, drawing on around 190 small family-run farms across roughly 190 hectares of vineyard in South Tyrol. Sonntaler is their old-vines Schiava (Vernatsch), sourced from vines aged 60 to 90 years and fermented with temperature control before aging in concrete.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows a complex aroma of raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry and redcurrant, with an elegant, slender body, fine-grained tannins and a long, warm finish.
