Château Biac 2016
2016, Bordeaux, France
Profile & Story
At Château Biac, in Langoiran (Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux), Bertrand Léon — following in the footsteps of his father, the renowned oenologist Patrick Léon — oversees the estate's three red wines together with the family. There is no fixed blending recipe: the balance of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is adjusted each year to the vintage. As noted in Éditions Féret (1874), the vines 'produce a wine of character, finesse, elegance, highly enjoyable; it is ranked amongst the first growths of the region.'
