Domaines Ott Château Romassan 2024
2024, Bandol, Provence, France
Profile & Story
Château Romassan is the Bandol estate of Domaines Ott, where sun-kissed marl-and-limestone soils overlooking the sea are particularly suited to Mourvèdre. This rosé blends Mourvèdre (the majority variety, giving solidity, structure and ageing potential) with the deep vinosity of Grenache and the softness of Cinsault to produce a complex, beautifully textured wine. Estelle Mazoire, cellar master at Château Romassan, describes it as 'an enveloping, fresh and very harmonious rosé.'
Tasting Notes
Pale peach in colour with a soft rose-gold shimmer. The nose is seductive, with a rich array of aromas; the palate is buoyed by red fruits — strawberry and raspberry — through to a finely balanced finish.
