Overture 2021 is the first vintage-dated bottling of the second wine of Opus One in Napa Valley. The 2021 season was unusually dry — the second-lowest rainfall in Opus One's history — with cooler temperatures and reduced yields that gave the fruit exceptional concentration.
Tasting Notes
Fresh aromas of plum, blackberry and cherry are enhanced by dried rose petal, forest floor and earthy minerality. Juicy and bright on the palate, with black currant, blueberry and fraises du bois, a velvety texture and powdery tannins; subtle coffee and dark chocolate round out a long finish with well-integrated acidity.
