Profile & Story

Casa Yagüe is a family-run project born in Patagonia, where everyday life, production, and landscape come together naturally. Located near Trevelin, the farm is much more than a vineyard: it is a living space where things are grown, cooked, shared, and experienced. The story begins with the decision to inhabit this land and develop it as a whole, respecting the rhythms of nature and its surroundings. Over time, that connection gave rise to the vineyard, planted in a distinctive cool-climate terroir that brings freshness, natural acidity, and remarkable aromatic expression to the wines. At Casa Yagüe, we work on a human scale, with a thoughtful approach both in the vineyard and in the winery. The winemaking process seeks minimal intervention so that each wine can express its origin: carefully timed harvests, controlled fermentations, and aging that enhances without overshadowing. Our wines reflect the character of Patagonia: elegant, fresh, and authentic. But Casa Yagüe is not only about wine. It is also about hospitality, gastronomy, and experiences designed to connect visitors with the place: guided visits, tastings, meals, and stays surrounded by nature.

Tasting Notes

Chardonnay Elevage – Casa Yagüe is a wine from Trevelin, Patagonia, crafted from Chardonnay grapes, with controlled fermentation and aged for 20 months in French oak barrels toasted with volcanic stones. It stands out for its aromatic profile, combining notes of white fruit and citrus with subtle influences from the aging process. On the palate, it shows good body and natural acidity, bringing freshness, balance, and tension. Elegant in style, it offers a smooth texture and a long, persistent finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Ideal with fatty fish such as salmon or trout, seafood, and white meats. It also pairs beautifully with creamy pasta dishes, risottos, and roasted vegetables. Its structure and natural acidity make it an excellent match for medium-intensity cheeses and dishes with richness and texture, while maintaining balance and elegance.
