Profile & Story

Leviathan is winemaker Andy Erickson's personal project, founded in 2004 to craft one Cabernet-driven red each vintage sourced across Napa, Sonoma and Lake County rather than a single appellation. Erickson, formerly of Screaming Eagle, blends Cabernet Sauvignon with varying amounts of Petite Sirah, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged about 15 months in French oak.

Tasting Notes

Red and black fruit, leafy herbs, cedar and truffled earth on the nose; a pure, layered, full-bodied palate with balance and length.
