Fattoria La Lecciaia is a family estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, purchased by Mauro Pacini in 1983 and modernized while staying rooted in the traditional winemaking of the Brunello di Montalcino zone. Of the property's roughly 60 hectares, 15 are under vine, with most registered for Brunello di Montalcino. This Rosso di Montalcino is 100% Sangiovese, fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks for 15-20 days, then aged in steel with a brief passage through oak barrels for a minimum of six months; alcohol runs around 14%, with roughly 30,000 bottles produced each vintage.
