Maison Louis Latour, the historic Burgundy negociant-producer, expanded south into the Ardeche valley in 1979, drawn to its clay-and-limestone soils as a source of quality, good-value Chardonnay outside Burgundy proper. This Ardeche Chardonnay is fermented and aged in stainless steel for around eight to ten months, with full, temperature-controlled malolactic fermentation, keeping the wine fresh and unoaked.
