M. Chapoutier is a family Rhone Valley producer based in Tain-l'Hermitage, with roots going back to the early nineteenth century when Marius Chapoutier acquired vineyards there; the house has been a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture across its Rhone holdings. Belleruche - named for the beehives kept in the vineyards - is Chapoutier's entry-level Cotes du Rhone range. The 2024 red is a blend of roughly 55% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 5% Marselan, grown across pebbly clay, stony clay terrace and stony silty-sand soils.

Pairing Recommendation

The producer recommends young, milk-fed lamb, served at 16-18C, with an ageing potential of 3-5 years from vintage.
