Ron Rubin pursued a lifelong dream of winemaking, founding Ron Rubin Winery in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley after a UC Davis enology background. The Russian River Valley's morning fog and cool Pacific breezes give Pinot Noir a notably long hang time, letting the grapes develop full flavor while retaining bright acidity. For this bottling, fruit from the estate and a few local family vineyards is hand-picked, sorted and destemmed into open-top fermenters for a five-day cold soak before fermentation, pressing and ageing in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Light garnet in the glass, with bright red cherry, cranberry and warm berry aromas and hints of allspice; the palate is soft and silky, with ripe fruit, bright acidity and a gentle oak-driven finish.

The winery suggests fig and goat cheese crostini, roasted duck or rotisserie chicken.
