Profile & Story
The Guion family established their farm in the heart of Bourgueil, near the Loire, in the 1950s and began farming organically by 1965 - far ahead of their time. Stephane Guion took over in 1994, farming about 8.5 hectares (Ecocert-certified organic, Demeter-certified biodynamic in 2021). Cuvee Candide comes from the domaine's youngest Cabernet Franc vines and is entirely fermented and aged in stainless steel tank.
Tasting Notes
Hand-harvested and fermented with native yeast in tank; energetic and nervy, with cherry and blueberry fruit, subtle herbs and white pepper - a crunchy, chillable red.
