Ferdinando Principiano is a traditional, natural-minded Barolo grower whose cellar is in Monforte d'Alba, farming organically with vineyards full of wildflowers and wildlife. This Langhe Nebbiolo (100% Nebbiolo, ~13% abv) is drawn from Barolo cru sites - Montagliato and Le Coste in Monforte and Boscareto in Serralunga - picked a little earlier than the Barolos.
Tasting Notes
Spontaneously fermented for about 14 days and aged 6-8 months in stainless steel. Silky and elegant, with red cherry and plum, wild strawberry, spicy detail and fine, measured tannins.
