2024, Uelversheim, Rheinhessen, Germany
Profile & Story
Moritz Kissinger is a young, low-intervention grower who farms 13 hectares with his father in Uelversheim, Rheinhessen, working with wild fermentations, no additives and little to no sulfur. The '0 Ohm' wines are his estate cuvees - 'Ohm' being a unit of electrical resistance, here signaling no resistance to the wine's energy.
Tasting Notes
A roughly 50/50 blend of Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Chardonnay with a few days of skin maceration - saline, with waxy citrus fruit, lemon pith and herbs.
