Profile & Story

Weingut Bründlmayer farms in Langenlois, at the meeting point of the Kamptal and Danube valleys in Austria. This Kamptal Terrassen Grüner Veltliner is a blend of grapes from several terraced vineyards: the higher, stonier terraces of schisted granite give aromatic lift, good acidity, elegant stone fruit and minerality, while the lower terraces of layered, fertile loess contribute more body and ripeness. The 2024 grapes were harvested in September and fermented at semi-cool temperatures of 15-20°C; the wine is bottled under screw cap at 12.5% alcohol.

Tasting Notes

Pale yellow-green with silvery highlights. The nose shows delicate meadow herbs, mango and pineapple with a subtle hint of orange peel. The palate is well-balanced and complex with a firm structure, passion fruit on the finish, and a vibrant, fruit-driven aftertaste with beautifully balanced acidity.

Pairing Recommendation

Recommended with smoked trout, ham, cold vegetables, seafood, tapas or fresh marinated goat cheese with herbs, as well as grilled fish, roasted chicken, milder Asian dishes such as dim sum or wok preparations, and vegan cuisine.
