Domaine Santa Duc is a family estate of the Gras family, farmed organically (Ecocert) and biodynamically (Demeter-certified). Les Quatre Terres — "the four lands" — blends parcels from Vacqueyras and Rasteau, both classified as Crus, together with Roaix and Séguret, classified as Côtes-du-Rhône Villages, across 6 hectares of vines averaging 40 years old. The terroir varies by parcel: Piedmont sand from eroded Miocene safre at Vacqueyras and Roaix, limestone-clay alluvial terraces at Séguret, and red limestone over sandstone at Rasteau. The blend is 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Carignan and Cinsault. Grapes are hand-picked and sorted in both vineyard and cellar, fermented in thermo-regulated stainless steel for 20 to 30 days, then aged 18 months in 36-hectoliter oak Stockinger foudres and 8-hectoliter terracotta amphorae. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
