Profile & Story
Coppo has operated in Canelli, in Italy's Piedmont region, since 1892. The estate holds a rare ministerial exemption allowing it to vinify Nebbiolo from the Barolo zone into Barolo DOCG even though its cellars sit outside the traditional Langhe production area, a distinction shared by very few producers.
Tasting Notes
Garnet red with brilliant reflections. Aromas of violet, cherry, and licorice lead to a well-balanced, elegant palate with fine tannins and a long finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Baked beef shank, braised veal, and roast lamb with potatoes.
