Folie à Deux -- French for "shared madness" or "folly of two" -- was founded in Napa Valley in 1981 by a husband-and-wife team (a psychiatrist and artist), whose professional backgrounds inspired the winery's name and playful branding. Now part of the Trinchero Family Estates portfolio, the winery produces approachable, food-friendly Napa Valley and California wines, including its well-known Chardonnay, aimed at pairing quality winemaking with an accessible, unpretentious style.
