Torbreck Vintners was founded in 1994 in Australia's Barossa Valley by David Powell, who was drawn to the region's old, dry-farmed vineyards -- some over a century old -- planted primarily to Rhône varieties like Shiraz, Grenache and Semillon. The winery takes its name from a Scottish forest Powell worked in as a young man, and has built an international reputation for concentrated, terroir-driven Barossa reds and whites crafted from the region's historic vineyard sites.
