Bottled as Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvee Eli, this wine comes from Eli's Ridge Vineyard at 2,400 feet in Lake County's Red Hills AVA, a high-altitude volcanic site. Hand-harvested fruit ferments on skins for 24 days and ages 23 months in French and American oak, completing malolactic fermentation in barrel.
Tasting Notes
Deep, dark garnet with purple hues, opening with an intense burst of dark chocolate, leather, ripe blueberry, and bruleed blackberry, with subtle spice and hints of anise, firm but refined tannins, and a finish of lingering black fruit and dark chocolate.
