This Pinot Noir is sourced from cooler Russian River Valley and Bennett Valley sites, where marine fog and wind off the Pacific and San Pablo Bay preserve fresh acidity. The wine undergoes a five-to-ten-day cold soak, completes natural malolactic fermentation, and ages 8 months in French oak (20% new). 14.1% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of crushed red berries, Rainier cherry, and cinnamon stick lead to a palate of juicy raspberry and pomegranate, balanced by spicy dried orange peel and tea leaf, with a smooth finish.
