Profile & Story
Jezreel Valley Winery, founded in 2012 in Israel's Jezreel Valley, was built around a philosophy of true, original Israeli winemaking. Alfa is a blend of Syrah, Argaman and Cabernet Sauvignon, created as a tribute to Beit Alfa, the ancient synagogue near the winery famed for its Byzantine-era mosaic floor.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows aromas of black pepper, white nutmeg, cloves and caramel, with rich flavors of berries, cocoa and coffee. It has good presence and is pleasant and easy to drink, finishing long with a slightly rough edge.
Pairing Recommendation
Especially suitable for chicken and light grilled meats.
