La Spinetta is a Piedmont-based, family-run winery founded by the Rivetti family, known for its rhinoceros-labeled wines and commitment to organic, sustainable farming. The Barbera d'Asti Superiore 'Ca' di Pian' is 100% Barbera from 49-year-old, organically farmed vines grown across two sites, Castagnole delle Lanze and Costigliole d'Asti, roughly 23 hectares on calcareous marl soil at 300m elevation with southern exposure. After a 6-7 day fermentation in roto-fermenters, the wine ages 12 months in a mix of new and used, medium-toast French oak barrique.
