Tenuta Grimaldi is a small estate in Matelica, in the Marche's Apennine foothills at 450-550 meters elevation, farmed organically at low yields with hand-harvested fruit. Winemaker Mirko Mattana works exclusively with Verdicchio across four different clones, using whole-bunch pressing with parcels fermented separately in stainless steel and in oak barrels before blending.
