Profile & Story
LOACKER wines have been grown sustainably for 40 years across all 3 estates. While this requires a demanding work process, it yields incredibly rewarding results for us and nature. The wines of Corte Pavone, Montalcino, are individual, elegant, and bold! This variety is down to nearly exclusively one varietal: the Sangiovese. 100% Tuscan, 100% Loacker. cru name and its meaning: The name of this cru location is derived from anemos (gr. for wind) and sole (it. for sun). Here the hot south-east Scirocco wind blows through the vineyard. vineyard and its particularity: The vineyard of the ‘Anemone al Sole’ crus stands for warmth. Strong sunshine and warm sirocco winds have the upper hand in this vineyard. For this reason, special protection measures such as shade nets for vines and grapes are required here. Thanks to a vine selection (it. selezione massale), in which only vines with special characteristics are selected and multiplied, this vineyard is one of the most genetically complex. terroir and its influence: The Anemone al Sole soil is the most calcareous with a lot of stone and clay influences (similar to the Fiore del Vento). The vineyard soil is not very deep and, in combination with hot, drying winds, is therefore more affected by heatwaves. Concentrated fruit and juicy minerality in the wine seduce the senses!
Tasting Notes
The Cru Anemone al Sole stands for density, juiciness and concentrated fruit, for which the warm, dry location is partly responsible. The richness of this wine is particularly well suited to new and small oak (max. 700 liters), which is mainly used due to the small quantity.
Pairing Recommendation
