Profile & Story

Fossacolle is a small and 100% family run winery located in the SW of Montalcino. We started our bottling activity in 1997 but the agricoltural part started in 1984. We own 4 hectares of vineyards, with organic coduction, and an annual production of 25000 bottles. Our family is present in Montalcino's area since 1700, starting from share-cropping and arriving to own our land in 1980. The production and commercialization is completely operated by our family, without employees or workers from outside, with three generations that are working together. The founder is Sergio Marchetti, he's still the vineyards manager, while his son-in-law Adriano Bambagioni and his nephew Stefano Bambagioni are in charge of production and marketing. We produce our wines, like Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino and a blend of international red varieties, combining traditional and modern method.
