Elk Cove Vineyards is a family-owned, 100% estate-grown winery in Gaston, in Oregon's Willamette Valley, one of the valley's founding wineries. This dry Riesling Estate is made from hand-picked fruit blended from three estate vineyards, Winery Estate, Five Mountain, and Windhill, among the oldest Riesling vines in Oregon, dating to 1975. Whole-cluster pressed and cold-fermented in small stainless-steel tanks; the 2023 vintage was picked at 23 degrees Brix, pH 2.91, finishing at 12% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Intense aromatics of orange oil and Key lime pie, complicated by wafts of honey, forest rain and green apple. The palate is juicy with ripe green apple, lemon and yuzu, leading to a long finish with subtle dried thyme and lime leaf.
