Domaine Jean-Paul Picard et Fils is a family winegrowing estate in Bue, in the Sancerre appellation, farmed by the same family for generations. Since Mickael Picard joined the estate in 2004, the domaine has also produced white and red wines from the neighboring Menetou-Salon appellation. This Menetou-Salon Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from a single parcel in Morogues, about 20km from the home estate, on argilo-calcaire clay-limestone soil, from vines averaging 15 years old. Grapes are hand-harvested, pneumatically pressed and cold-settled, then fermented with natural yeast and aged on fine lees for three to four months before fining, filtration and bottling.
