Cain Vineyard & Winery farms high on Spring Mountain above St. Helena in the Napa Valley. Cain Cuvee is the winery's multi-vintage red, and as its back label puts it, it is harvested, vinified and blended for freshness, lightness, complexity and balance. Winegrower Christopher Howell writes that the intention behind Cain Cuvee has not wavered since the very first bottling more than thirty years ago, and that in 1998 it became more focused still with the inception of blending two vintages - a practice the house values for the way two years can complement one another.
