Château de Coulaine has produced Chinon in the Loire Valley since 1470 and has farmed organically since 1994. The Bonnaventure cuvée comes from a large parcel behind the château on a plateau of yellow sandy-limestone soils and clay, exposed in full sun.
Tasting Notes
The palate is round and ample, with ripe red fruits and spice; the tannins are pleasantly present, lending a very saline, concentrated structure.
Pairing Recommendation
Easy drinking with family or friends; pairs well with grilled red meats and dishes in sauce (e.g. roasted squab, or pork tenderloin with mango, pepper and mushrooms).
