Mamete Prevostini is a family winery in Mese, in Italy’s alpine Valtellina (Lombardy), known for silky, elegant Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca). “Botonero” — described by the producer as “in its simplicity, an explosion of Alpine freshness” — is a medium-bodied 100% Nebbiolo (Alpi Retiche IGT) from terraced vineyards in the Sondrio area, with about six days’ maceration and maturation in steel.
