Pago del Cielo is a Familia Torres project spanning two Spanish wine regions, with its red-wine winery located in Fompedraza in DO Ribera del Duero at 895 meters above sea level, the highest-sited winery in the appellation, where large diurnal temperature swings and cool mountain winds allow the fruit to ripen gradually; the project also includes a Rueda winery in Villafranca del Duero focused on Verdejo whites. Celeste Crianza was the Torres family's first Spanish wine made outside Catalonia and remains the flagship red of Pago del Cielo. Made from Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), it is aged twelve months in French and American oak barrels followed by a further twelve months in bottle.
