Maison Roche de Bellene is a Burgundy négociant house founded in 2008 by Nicolas Potel, who comes from a family long dedicated to winemaking in the region; the house's name recalls Bellena/Bellene, an old name for the town of Beaune, where the négociant is based. Chambolle-Musigny lies in the Côte de Nuits, one of Burgundy's most celebrated Pinot Noir communes, prized for producing some of the region's most perfumed and refined red wines, home to the grand crus Musigny and Bonnes-Mares. Maison Roche de Bellene works across a range of red and white Burgundy appellations, from village wines up to premier and grand cru bottlings. This Chambolle-Musigny is a village-level red Burgundy made entirely from Pinot Noir grown within the commune's vineyards.
