About the Wine
The Figure is a co-fermented red wine blend made of 40% Tempranillo, 35% Grenache, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Tempranillo is grown at Tierra Alta Vineyard in Ballard Canyon. The Grenache is grown at Kaerskov Vineyard in the Los Olivos District. The Cabernet Sauvignon is grown at Sky's The Limit Vineyard in Happy Canyon. The grapes were picked, crushed and co-fermented together and then aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, 20% new oak.
Tasting Notes
A Spanish style Rioja blend that captures the energy and movement of a figure on canvas. The CrossHatch "Figure" has the passion, grip, and strength of a flamenco dancer. Aromas of black cherry, pumpkin pie spice, and guava fill the glass. A smooth, luscious mouthfeel of raspberry with a touch of earthiness is followed by a lifted, fruitful finish. Take one sip and allow the flavors to dance on your palate.
