Profile & Story
Domaine de Bichery is a small grower-Champagne estate in the Côte des Bar, the southernmost and Pinot Noir-dominant subregion of Champagne. The domaine began in 2013 when Raphaël Piconnet took over part of his family's vineyard, making his first wines from the 2015 harvest onward with his wife Hannah, working from a small cuverie behind the family house known as 'la grange.' The Côte des Bar sits closer to Chablis than to Épernay, its clay-limestone soils giving Pinot Noir-led Champagnes a fuller, red-fruited character. La Source is sourced from three parcels — Val Ligé, La Fontaine du Noyers, and L'Envers Vigne — planted with vines averaging around 35 years old, and is bottled Brut Nature with no dosage to show the Bichery terroir unadorned.
Tasting Notes
Complex and radiant on the nose, with notes of red apple, clove, and yellow plum crossed by a hint of wet stone that lends mineral lift; the palate is precise and finely textured, dry and polished, with a saline, dynamic finish reflecting the Pinot Noir in the blend.

A versatile aperitif Champagne; also pairs well with charcuterie or shellfish.
