Profile & Story

Henriques & Henriques was founded in 1850 and is today Madeira's largest independent producer, owning more estate vineyards than any other Madeira house, based in Câmara de Lobos. The estate makes wine from Madeira's traditional noble varieties, including Sercial, Verdelho, Bual, and Malvasia, prized for complexity, balance, and long ageing potential. Boal 10 Years Old is aged for at least a decade in the traditional canteiro system, in which barrels are warmed under the sun to accelerate the wine's characteristic oxidative maturation.
