Invés is a collaborative winemaking project between João de Gouveia Osório and Henrique Cizeron, working with historic vineyards in the Arribas sub-region of Trás-os-Montes, one of Portugal's highest and most isolated mountain wine areas near the Spanish border. Las Setas comes from a single vineyard of centenarian bush vines, a traditional field blend planted roughly 60% to red grapes — chiefly Tinta Gorda, Bastardo, and Mourisco — interplanted with around 40% white varieties including Malvasia Fina, Dona Branca, and Donzelinho. The whole clusters are fermented in lagar before a brief aging in used 225-liter barrels.
