Profile & Story

LaOsa is the project of winemaker Noelia de Paz, launched in 2015 as a tribute to her native Tierra de Leon and its indigenous varieties. The Trasto Rosado comes from a 20-hectare, dry-farmed, non-certified organic parcel in Gordoncillo (15+ year old vines, 800-900m elevation, alluvial clay soils) planted to 100% Prieto Picudo. Grapes are fully destemmed and fermented in stainless steel from free-run juice only, with brief skin contact ('sangrado'), native yeast and minimal intervention.

Tasting Notes

A deeper, more purple-hued rosado than a typical claret-style Prieto Picudo; electric watermelon and pink grapefruit zest with jasmine aromatics and a lively spark of acidity.
