Profile & Story

Valle Secreto was born at the beginning of the 2000s as an idea of two friends, Antonio Puntí and Claudio Berndt, that share the passion for wine. They had the dream of creating a very unique winery focus exclusively in fine wines, using grapes of a specific and special place, in order to produce wines with great terroir expression and high quality. After some years of research, they found a “valle secreto“, a small nook of the Cachapoal Valley located in the easternmost part of it, at the foot of the Andes mountain range. Then they planted the vineyard, built a magnificent and unique cellar, and finally, on year 2010, starting to arrive with the wines to markets all around the world. The word ORIGEN derives from the Latin word “orígo”, which refers to the beginning, start or emergence of something. This innovative wine was aged in ovoid-shaped tanks, which were made from ancient stones extracted from our own terroir located in the Cachapoal Andes. These alluvial stones give us a unique mineral typicity and spirit that can only come from the balance between soil, climate and the work of man in our vineyards.
