Profile & Story
Valle Secreto was born at the beginning of the 2000s as an idea of two friends, Antonio Puntí and Claudio Berndt, that share the passion for wine. They had the dream of creating a very unique winery focus exclusively in fine wines, using grapes of a specific and special place, in order to produce wines with great terroir expression and high quality. After some years of research, they found a “valle secreto“, a small nook of the Cachapoal Valley located in the easternmost part of it, at the foot of the Andes mountain range. Then they planted the vineyard, built a magnificent and unique cellar, and finally, on year 2010, starting to arrive with the wines to markets all around the world.
Tasting Notes
Red ruby color. Aromas of red fruits such as blueberries and cherries, notes of graphite, some licorice and spicy notes on the finish. Elegant and complex. Well structured in the mouth with elegant and firm tannins.
Pairing Recommendation
Red meats with highfat content, lamb and duck.
