Profile & Story

Julio Bastos started the Dona Maria project at Quinta do Carmo in Estremoz, Alentejo, after selling his shares in Sociedade Agricola Quinta do Carmo, with the estate's first harvest under this label in 2003; Bastos was named Producer of the Year by Revista de Vinhos in 2009.
