Bojo do Luar is a low-intervention project in Portugal's Vinho Verde region, begun when American importer Savio Soares met biodynamic grower Fernando Paiva and, through him, viticulturist Antonio Sousa. Ora Bolas blends Vinhao, Alvarelhao and Arinto: the red grapes and a small portion of Arinto macerate for five days in amphora before pressing and returning to amphora to finish fermenting, while the remaining Arinto ferments cold in steel and is blended in before a bottle-conditioned pet-nat finish.
