Founded in 1919 by Anton Ohlig in Rudesheim am Rhein, in the Rheingau, Sektkellerei Ohlig has produced sparkling wine in family tradition for over a century. The '50 Grad Nord' ('50 Degrees North') line takes its name from Rudesheim's latitude and blends Muller-Thurgau, Silvaner and Pinot Blanc, harvested early for higher acidity and lower sugar.
