Nora da Neve 2019
2019, Condado do Tea, Spain
Profile & Story
Nora da Neve 2019 is a 100% Albariño white wine from D.O. Rías Baixas, produced by Bodegas Viña Nora. The grapes come from 20-year-old vines across 48 acres near As Neves, in the Condado do Tea subregion, close to the Miño River. Yields are low at 2.5–2.9 tons per acre. The winery emphasizes late harvesting for full grape maturity, despite the risk of autumn rain, and uses precise leaf management and grape selection to maximize expression. Grapes are hand-harvested and cooled before fermentation. The must and skins undergo cold pre-fermentation maceration. The wine is aged for seven months in new oak barrels. Only 600 cases were produced for the U.S. Importer (Aviva Vino).
