Cuvée des Grandes Pointes
Viognier
Domaine du Tix
About the Wine
Vaucluse comes from the Latin "VALLIS CLAVSA," literally "closed valley." From the Roman settlement, it has been the garden of Provence thanks to its blowing Mistral wind, its sun, and its multiple rivers. At 350 meters high, in the piedmont of Ventoux, the "Giant of Provence," Domaine du Tix benefits from this pretty sun but also fresh nights and abundant morning dew. Its wines invite a voyage through wind, sun, pine, and fig trees under cicadas buzzing. Hand-harvested, from 3 tries at different maturity in the vineyards, then direct pressing and winemaking. Partly aged in French oak barrel. The wine is 100% Viognier.
Tasting Notes
A fresh and expressive Viognier, flavors of almond, white peach and apricot. Great minerality carried by a long finish.
Pairing Recommendation
