The ERA organic line was created by Carlo Volpi at the end of the 1990s -- named for the Greek goddess of nature, Diana -- and officially launched at Millesime Bio in 2001; organic wine now makes up roughly 70% of the parent company's production. This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is grown organically (ICEA-certified) on calcareous, stony soil in the Chieti area of Abruzzo.
