Melini Chianti

Profile & Story

Melini is one of Chianti's oldest producers, tracing to 1705 and based at Gaggiano in the Chianti Classico hills between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti; the house helped drive Chianti's international success in the 1900s and was an early adopter of vineyard-selection ('cru') winemaking in Tuscany. This Chianti DOCG is Sangiovese-based per the appellation.
