Valdespino traces its origins to 1430, making it one of the oldest houses in Jerez; it has been part of the Jose Estevez wine group since 1999. Manzanilla Deliciosa is crafted from Palomino Fino grapes grown exclusively in the coastal Miraflores pago of Sanlucar de Barrameda, and aged in the sixteenth-century Bodega de la Misericordia, whose orientation catches the Atlantic winds that favor the wine's protective flor. This En Rama expression is the Saca de Primavera, bottled straight from the butt each spring when the flor is at its fullest, with minimal filtration, after an average six years of biological aging under flor through the criaderas y soleras system.
