Can Sumoi is Pepe Raventos's high-altitude natural-wine project on a farm dating to 1645, set in the Serra del Montmell within Penedes's Baix Penedes, dedicated to recovering native grape varieties and minimal-intervention winemaking. La Rosa blends Sumoll and Xarel-lo from organically farmed vines averaging fifty years old, grown on ancient soils from the Cretaceous-era Montmell Formation. The grapes are hand-harvested and pressed at the cellar, fermented with native yeasts, and made without oenological or sulfur additives.
